This public installation used human voyeuristic tendencies to examine the relationship between exploring and being explored.
Two mirrors have been places on the mannequin: One as the pedestal, underneath it’s legs and the other in between her legs, where the voyeurism of the spectator is most concentrated.
By using the reflection of the mirror that is underneath the mannequin’s feet, spectator has the goal to see between mannequin’s legs. At the same the time as the installation works a two way mirror trick, spectator ends up seeing himself in the reflection.
Using such an analog tool, the relationship between the seer and the seen is compromised.
